Corporate Affairs Director

Job Purpose or Summary

Establish Public Affairs strategy for the entire organization

  • To lead, direct and guide all Corporate Affairs activities include but not limited to government and industry alliances relationship, media, corporate social responsibility, and corporate crisises, especially to manage good reputation and image of the company.
  • To play the key role in consulting the public affairs and corporate communications to the functional departments in the operations of the stores at the city/provincial and local levels
  • To give guidance of Customer Service to solve the customers’ complaints
  • To handle works under the assignments from DCEO

Main Responsibilities

  • CA Strategy and Policy Development: Establish and update strategic direction for the CA function and ensure alignment with business strategy; develop the guidelines, processes and templates and monitor the implementation.
  • PAC Guidance: Provide proactive CA guidance, advice and assist in problem-resolution on a timely basis on various regulations applicable to the organization and other issues which may arise; work as part of cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives and provide CA guidance as required.
  • CA Representation: Supervise complex CA matters and serve as Subject Matter Expert on highly sensitive/confidential VN CA matters; develop relationships with Government, regulators, opinion leaders and media that may influence the business operation. Promoting company image and delivering right messages to public.
  • Communications: Develop and implement a strong Internal/External Communications plan across regions and broad audiences. This will include employee newsletters, bulletins, announcements, speeches, talking points, brochures, reports, website information, videos…to reinforce and aid all change management and culture initiatives.  

ORGANIZATION AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Develop team (if any) and individual KPIs, do alignment with direct line manager and ensure the target achievement; cascade targets to subordinates by assigning KPIs, giving instructions, supporting for achieving the targets and ensuring performance appraisal as requested.
  • Develop the execution plan and respective budget to perform the KPIs; ensure periodical review or whenever necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor or advanced degree
  • Professional major: Law, Economics, Communication, Public Policy Degree is preferred
  • 2nd language ability: FluentEnglish(4 skills)
  • Computer usage ability: Microsoft Office (word, excel, power-point)
  • At least 07 years working for or holding a similar position within multinational corporations
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge in the corporate profile and pharmaceutical sector
  • Knowledgeable in public sector engagement, law and making process
  • Knowledge in media, society, political landscape and government relations management
  • Competence in building vision and strategy
  • Process efficiency, business-oriented and focus on business
  • Leadership skill, Adaptability, Critical Thinking
  • Knowledge of Competition laws, food laws, Consumer Laws, Labour & Corporate Laws, Company law and etc.
  • Knowledge of risk management, media and government relationship management.
  • Travels when required.
