Main responsibilities
Handle Key Supplier/ Manu (Top 80% & Top 50%) as allocated by Medicine Head and all vendors of Junior Buyers
1. Responsible for TTA Management
- Target planning & Finalization (SI / SO Growth) with clear understanding on rationale of growth (Vs company, vs market). To prepare a quarterly update on each SKU/Vendor and provide insights on market vs chain growth vs PMC growth in the SKU and category.
- Negotiate Trade & Non Trade investment according to SI target annually per supplier & on-top investment based on performance/ request
- Follow up closely with supplier/Brand on YTD performance for Trade & Non Trade investment (Contract management, Execution collaboration with crossed function team, Learnings highlights etc)
- Responsible for trade activities and brand activation investments for their Top 50% vendor and all vendors. To deliver cross functional collaboration on activities with Medicine Head and Junior Director. Update with 100% Accuracy/ Delivery on signed TTA terms.
2. Product Management
- Responsible for weekly stock status tracking (Fill-rate & Lost sales) for their suppliers and ensure all Junior Buyers follow requirements.
- To deliver 99% accuracy in results. To be trained for 3 weeks after which independently responsible for management of people, and key tasks for assigned to Junior Buyers and personal tasks and KPIs as ascribed by Head of Medicine
- Update/ tracking on Pricing Change – Purchase price & RSP, Expiry tracking. Require 99% accuracy from own work and that of all reporting Junior Buyers
- Weekly stock status tracking (Fill-rate & Lost sales & SO trend) for their own vendors and those of all Junior Buyers
- Responsible for PO placement in coordination with DP and Junior Director. To report to Medicine Head on all PO and quantity to be placed for final approval.
- Responsible for ensuring product stock up before OOS. Require 95% accuracy for tail SKU and 100% accuracy for key SKU of their own suppliers and those of all Junior Buyers
- Responsible for all suggestions to replace OOS immediately after any product of their vendor goes OOS. Requires cross functional coordination and stock up of SKU replacement from any vendor
- Responsible for suggestion of NPL to for their vendors & able to source NPL upon allocation with >90% successful rate
- Responsible for proposing RSP for each of their products. To deliver 100% competitiveness with LC and growth of 30% annually for their SKUs.
- Responsible for vendor negotiation on lowering purchase price and margin expansion with Junior Director and Head of Medicine. Ensure PMC does not have any negative margin product.
- Responsible for negotiating returns of product, replacement of product and return of faulty products as requested by store
3. People Management
- Able to allocate task & guidance for Junior buyer with alignment with Junior Director & Medicine Head
- Ensuring the accuracy & timely execution / follow up of KPIs responsible by Junior Buyer
- Ensure 90% retention rate of team under them and responsible for career development for each member of the team including suggestion of promotion, compensation changes and retention mechanism for their team
- Adhoc Project/ workstream ownership: Supporting Cat Management (Medicine Head & CAT junior director) with routine workstream if request
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmaceutical
- Good at English (writing, reading, speaking, listening)
- Excellent in MS. Office (word, excel, power-point)
- Minimum 4 years’ working experienced in Retail merchandising or pharmacy. Experienced in team management.
- Wide knowledge of merchandising and relationship in supply chain.
- Quick learning, willing to take up challenges.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently, possess a high level of responsibility and commitment.
