[SSC] Graphic Designer

Main Responsibilities

  • Packaging Design: Develop eye-catching, innovative packaging designs for a wide range of products, ensuring all designs meet the brand guidelines and address consumer needs and trends.
  • Brand Consistency: Develop and maintain Brand Guideline documents; maintain consistency across all product packaging, adhering to our brand identity while ensuring design differentiation across product categories.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Brand Managers to understand the product features, target audience, and market positioning to create effective packaging solutions.
  • Visual Concept Development: Create initial design concepts, mood boards, and prototype packaging to present to stakeholders, refining designs based on feedback.
  • Artwork Creation: Prepare final artwork for print production, ensuring designs are production-ready, with correct dimensions, colour specifications, and high degree of accuracy.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with design trends, retail packaging innovations, sustainability practices, and competitor packaging to ensure our products stand out on the shelf.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all packaging designs are accurate, free of errors, and meet legal requirements (e.g., ingredient lists, safety information, barcodes, etc.).
  • Production Support: Liaise with suppliers and printers to oversee the production of packaging; manage the Print Proof approval process; responsible for approval of sample printing at print house; ensuring the final product meets design specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design major
  • High standard of English communication
  • High proficiency with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop), Desktop Publishing Tools
  • At least 3 years proven experience as a graphic designer, with a focus on packaging design, preferably in the retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
  • Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Creativity, Flexibility
  • Experience with dielines, print production processes, and understanding of materials used in packaging.
  • Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy to create compelling packaging designs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot and correct design inconsistencies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing packaging design projects, including both conceptual design and final production-ready artwork.
